Niagara Falls - travel guide and information

Niagara Falls is right on the US and Canada border (there is
actually a Canadian falls plus an American falls)but they are
both viewed best from the Canadian side of the border. the
horseshoes falls on the Canadian side is big one.
About 90% of the water going over the Falls goes over the
horseshoe falls. Both of the falls are lit up at night and
this can be very dramatic. Here's some sample shots:
http://www.travellerspoint.com/photos/stream/photoID/51452/

If you plan to travel only to Canada (and not to the US),
then you should fly into Toronto (Canada's largest city)
and drive the approximately 1,1/2 to 2 hours to get to the
falls. Didn't get a ticket but about 1/3rd of those driving
the route did.

If you are going to the US then you can actually fly into
Buffalo which is just 15 minutes from the falls. There is
also a bridge (the "Rainbow" Bridge) that you can go across
from the US to Canada (or vice-versa) but of course, you need
to have a US visa in that case.

The falls themselves are quite unique and interesting to view,
the surrounding city-not so much. There are just tons of run-
down tourist attractions on the main road leading into the falls
area and while there is a very nice park right next to the falls,
there are really no hotels to stay at that give a great view of
the falls. Stay a few blocks inland and things will be much
cheaper anyway. There is an interesting tour of the power plant
here (on the Canadian side) that also discusses the falls. The
most interesting thing to do while here is to take the "Maid of
the Mist" tour, which is where you get in a boat and ride right
up to the bottom of the horseshoes falls (you do get wet but they
give you a giant raincoat and a hat to wear when you get on the
boat). This tour leaves only from the Canadian side.

On both the Canadian and New York side of the falls, there are
some wineries in the vicinity. While they in no way rival any
California, French, or Chilean/Argentinian wines, they do
serve some interesting sweet white wines that are at least
somewhat worth your attention.Like I said, though, go easy on
the drinking of alcohol because of all the speed traps.

This is a very well known honeymoon destination mostly for those
living in the eastern part of the US. Personally, I don't understand
the big attraction, because I know a whole lot of places with better
nightlife and a greater variety of more dramatic natural sights but
then I guess when you are on your honeymoon, you aren't leaving the
hotel room that much to see or participate in the nightlife or local
sight.

Best or worst travel experiences in hotel

when I was travelling to cox's bazar bay
in bangladesh,i stayed in a hotel near the
bay.I could feel the sound of wave during
whole night and during whole day.It was a
great hotel.one night I slept and was in a
dream, all the windows was almost open but not
fully open.the breeze was coming,my dream was
like I was walking in heaven garden and a
cute girl was also walking in the garden and
I approached to her and she walked away.

in my two days staying in the hotel,I had
a experience which i will never forget.
I stayed at fifth floor.I was using lift to
go to first floor(I don't like to use serie).
It was evening time.
I stepped in the lift room and there was no one
with me.getting in the lift room i pressed
the ground floor button so that lift stops in
ground floor.the lift door closed automatically
and lift was heading downward but within some
seconds electricity gone and lift stopped.
there was no light in the lift and
unfortunately my mobile was not with me
because i was just going to a shop nearby
the hotel.I did not know in which floor the
lift stopped.I did not see anything in the lift.
the moment i felt like i am in a prison,I am
died.also i felt like i am in the dark sky
alone!!.after 2 minutes,I could not bear the
moment and shouted for help by doing sound
on the lift door with my hand.in a moment someone
with a rod opened the lift door.I got relief.
I was like a bird in the sky-free.

what was your best of worst hotel experience?

Lafarge cement factory bangladesh - travel experience and guides

sunamganj district. Its a big factory on the bank
of surma river.it covered a huge area.lafarge
cement is a big source of cement supplier in
this country and abroad.below i wrote my
travel experience to lafarge cement factory.

I went their with my family.we first crossed the
surma river and picked a photo of the factory
as shown with this post.it's only front side
image.no one can imagine how large it is until
visits there.after entering the factory we
hired a guide and a car to visit every part of
the factory.it was a dangerous tour because there
were many risks in this factory because of
various chemicals and gases.so we did not
get out of the car while visiting the different
part of the factory.the guide described every
parts one by one while we were passing those
parts by car.we saw where core of the cement
is created and where they are mixed with other
chemicals.A lots of technology were used for
that.unbelivable technologies.no one can
imagine until viewed.at last we visited a place
where rocks are gathered from india by
wires.a incredible view.

to go there u have to go chatak sub district of
sunamganj district by bus or train.then
u have to cross the river by steamer.you have
to spend money for that.crossing the river
u will see the factory stand alone.

let me know you want to visit this spot
and want to have guidance from me.

A visit to kuttar tila of bangladesh

'kuttar tila' is a small hill located in
chatak sub district of sunamganj district.
the tila is famous for a burial of a british
man.its a long history.when the british was
rulling these region a british was died with
a dog.the burial was at the top of this tila
(a small hill).there are saying that for
the dog the name of the tila was kuttar tila
where kutta means dog.

there was nothing on the top of tila besides
the burial.the was at the date 1850.some
details was also on the burial indicating
the information on the british man.

this tila is really a place to visit.besides
the burial, from the top of the tila, one can
see the hills of indian because indian border
was located near the chatak sub district.
It was a scence not to be forgotten.
I was standing on the top of the tila and was
seeing the marvelous beauty of distance hills.

recently I traveled to maynamati.maynamati is a
great tourist spot in bangladesh.maynamati is

I picked some photos at the entrance of tourist
spot.First i visited the place of lost civilization
of buddhist people.it covered a large area.I
reached and viewed all walls, rooms of the
civilization.everything was open.

then i entered the museum where all kinds
of lost things of the buddhist civilization
were placed with details.I saw different
plates,pots,writings in sanskrit others...
the most attractive was the statue of buddha.

at 3pm we the local tourists took lunch as a
biriani box.every one including me got a box.

After seeing the museum i went to see the burial
of the soldiers of second world war.in every
grave there was a plus stick indicating the
christian burial ground.

before evening i came to my home by bus.it was

chatak cement factory - travel story, guide from bangladesh

There are two big cement factory in
chatak sub district of sunamganj district.
one is known as lafarge cement factory
where cement is produced by dry process
and the other is known as normal cement
factory.

I posted my experience on lafarge cement
factory.now i will write my journey to
the other cement factory.I have a relative
in chatak.I with my family went there and
planned to visit the cement factory.

at morning we went there and the manager
received us with warmly welcome. Its a big
area.first we saw a big pipe where
materials are passed by wind method.then
we saw a storage where materials are
mixed by a shaft which is run by motor.
a lot of energy is needed to run the motor.

then we went to another big storage where
chemicals and mud is mixed by a motor.the
storage was at top and huge in size.

after that we went a place where mixed
chemicals are burned with fire.we couldn't
reach the burning place because of heat.

the cement is produced by breaking those
burned chemicals and mixing finally with
a chemical.

It's a huge process for producing cement.no
one can imagine how much energy is consumed
and how much working is going on there until
visits there.to reach there and for guide contact me.

Going to travel is a great thing and
traveller's must not forget to take

you are tension free.the most common

travelling, how long the travelling is?other factors.

when I went to visit lafarge cement factory
